The University Hospital of Brussels (H.U.B) includes Erasme Hospital, the Jules Bordet Institute, and the Queen Fabiola Children's University Hospital (HUDERF). Established in 2021 at the initiative of the City of Brussels and the Free University of Brussels (ULB), this major academic hospital hub ensures both high-quality healthcare that is accessible to all and excellence in training and research. About the Service

Radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) is an innovative modality in cancer care with high demand for both academic and industry-sponsored clinical trials.

The Brussels Radiopharmaceutical Trials Network is a collaborative research network that incorporates medical specialists, scientists, and researchers from the fields of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, all sharing an interest in multicenter clinical trials utilizing radiopharmaceuticals for molecular imaging or therapy.

Mission
To promote and facilitate innovative collaborative clinical research and increase attractiveness for industrial or academic sponsors.

Vision
To develop a network of radiopharmaceutical imaging and therapy sites in Brussels/Belgium with validated capabilities; harmonize imaging protocols and quality standards for research; facilitate connections with other clinical trials networks, the pharmaceutical industry, and funding agencies for multicenter clinical trials; support multicenter clinical trials with radiopharmaceuticals for imaging or therapy, including facilitating data collection, analysis, and data management; and promote collaboration in clinical trials and outcome-based research with radiopharmaceuticals.

By building strong collaboration between clinicians, scientists, and partners in radiopharmaceutical drug development, the trial network aims to develop early- to late-phase clinical trials with innovative designs and cutting-edge translational research components, all aiming to significantly improve patient outcomes.

The Institut Jules Bordet is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic coordinator to ensure smooth internal and external communication and to coordinate all the activities of the network.

Fonction

Main responsibilities

  • Management:
    • Identify and evaluate potential clinical sites based on their capacity, expertise, and patient populations. Ensure they have the necessary infrastructure and resources.

    • Define the governance of the trial network.

    • Create standardized protocols for trial design, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting to ensure consistency across trials.

    • Provide operational support and initiate new activities for the entire network.

    • Participate in the future development of the network.

  • Promotional activities and communication:
    • Improve internal and external communication of the network (e.g., writing newsletters for ongoing studies).

    • Propose fundraising actions for the network (grants, calls, events, etc.) and participate in writing and submitting reports for grants.

    • Coordinate the development of the trial network’s website and social media activities.

    • Foster member commitment to the network.

  • Administrative tasks:
    • Actively exchange information with involved network sites (e.g., feasibility surveys, etc.).

    • Organize meetings (coordinating team, steering committee, "Meet the Industry," working group meetings) and other events (including logistical coordination).

    • Take minutes at meetings.

    • Follow up on invoices and expenses of the network.

The position will be located at the Institut Jules Bordet in Brussels and is intended to be full-time.

Profil

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • Excellent proficiency in English (both written and oral).

  • Experience in medicine/biology, communications, network and/or events management, and/or project management would be an asset.

  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to drive, manage, and prioritize multiple and varied tasks efficiently and accurately.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proactive and able to develop new strategies and innovative ideas.

  • Ability to be autonomous while also working well within a team.

Langue

You have a good knowledge of the second national language or are willing to acquire it (language courses provided internally during working hours, with the possibility of receiving a SELOR bilingualism bonus of €150 gross, subject to submission of the Selor Art. 10 certificate).
